A FREE guided walk is being held this evening to give people in Pendle the chance to find out about bats.
Pendle Council is arranging a tour around Valley Gardens, Barnoldswick, to let people see the protected species in their habitat.
The event is being organised by park rangers who will give advice on how to locate bats.
Rachael Haworth, Pendle Council's parks events officer, said: "This will be a great opportunity to get close to some of natures lesser seen creatures and the walk is suitable for people of all ages so bring the whole family."
The walk will start at 7pm and anyone wanting to take part should meet outside the Gospel Mission Hall, Hollins Road at 6.45pm.
Coun Anne Kerrigan, executive member for parks, said: "The local wildlife in Pendle is a very important part of all our lives and this is your opportunity to admire the wildlife we have around us, right on our doorsteps."
