AN elderly motorist ploughed her car into a shop in an accident in Clitheroe town centre.
Police said the pensioner, believed to be in her late 60s, lost control of her Honda Civic before crashing in to the vacant store on the corner of King Street and New Market Street.
The incident saw the vehicle smash through the shutters of the shop, before ending up completely inside the premises.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 1.50pm yesterday but passers-by were able to help the woman from her car.
She suffered only minor injuries.
The shop was formerly occupied by Blue Door Designs, which has relocated to Church Street.
