THORNTON Hall Farm Country Park was transformed into a scene from the dark ages during a Vikings and Saxons weekend.
Saturday saw the burning of a ship, followed by a medieval barbecue banquet at the Thornton-in-Craven attraction.
Families gathered to watch as more than 100 people in full Viking and Saxon dress acted out the last great battle between the two tribes.
