A ROSSENDALE company which helps keep some of the world’s most famous celebrities in shape has won a prestigious contract to supply meals for the 2012 British Olympic Teams.

Soulmatefood, which has A-list clients including Cheryl Cole, Jude Law, The Saturdays, Patsy Kensit and the Black Eyed Peas will help Britain’s top athletes to bring home gold medals by providing them all with a uniquely-tailored menu.

The company, which uses only fresh Lancashire produce, helps dieters to reach their personal goals by creating an individual menu based on a client’s goal, weight and height, before its 11 chefs make the food and deliver it fresh to their doorstep.

For the Olympics, the chefs will be available to provide nutritionally balanced food for the athletes.

The company, which also has a personal trainer service, lifestyle coaching, Manchester and London based gyms as well as a special body clinic in the heart of Harrods in London, has its headquarters in Waterfoot.

Soulmatefood chief executive Christian Coates, from Bacup, set up the business six years ago after training as a personal trainer and lifestyle coach in America.

He said: “It was a real honour to be approached by the British Olympic bosses as it shows people have faith in my product and that they really believe in it.

"We have created an individual menu for each athlete to give them the best nutritional start.

“I set up the company when I came back from America.

"The whole diet chef idea was really big over there.”

The 29-year-old former Bacup and Rossendale Grammar School pupil also provides this service to a large number of high profile celebs.

He said: “We have helped a lot of big celebrities including the likes of Cheryl Cole and the Black Eyed Peas.

"We often get contacted by their management companies as they need to get fit ahead of a long tour.

“At the moment we are working with The Saturdays, who have been proving a nightmare for their management team as every time they turn round they are eating McDonalds.”

Anybody can use the Soulmatefood service which costs around £30 per day.

New members can join by visiting a body clinic, registering online or by calling.

A personal menu is then created specific to your goals before the fresh food is delivered in two day batches every other day.
