A MOTORBIKE accident caused major tailbacks on the M65 this morning.
The fast lane on the westbound carriageway was closed between junction seven at Accrington and junction six at Whitebirk from 8.30am.
Police said the motorcyclist was conscious and breathing before being taken to hospital.
Lane three was closed for a short time, but it caused tailbacks that lasted until after 9.30am
