SOS Festival is now in its fourth year and has become a prestigious festival amongst the rock fraternity. The line-up for the 2011 festival which takes place at Radcliffe Civic on July 16 and 17 has now been confirmed. We have teamed up with them to promote this great competition. On Saturday, July 16, the festival line-up is headed up by local rockers Fury UK, who recently toured with USA legends Y&T and rock legend Saxon. Fury UK are joined by Babylon Fire, Escoterica, Nightvision, Evil Scarecrow, By Any Means, Spires, Fantasist, Population Four, Betreaus and Inferno.
Heading the line-up for Sunday are Scottish rockers Gun who've had a long and distinguished career since their debut album Taking On The World back in 1989, followed by albums Gallus and Swagger. These albums spawned UK Top 40 hits and the band toured the States and also supported the Rolling Stones on their European Tour of the 1990's. A new album is scheduled for release later in 2011 with what promises to be a real return to the original Gun sound. They're joined by Exit State, Attica Rage, Citizen Charlie, Vega, Velvet Star, Wizzard, Neon Fly, Afterdown, Skarlett Riot and Ten by Ten.
SOS Festival also benefits from stalls on the Metal Market, where you can purchase an array of items in between listening to music, an Acoustic stage for a more mellow vibe, the main stage, Polefire poledancers and a late bar open til 2am on Saturday with an aftershow party and disco included in the ticket price.
Lynne Hampson, one of the organisers from Rocksector Records says, "It’s going to be the biggest and best SOS Fest to date. Radcliffe will rock once more!”

As always, SOS benefits from being an all-age event with reasonable prices, plenty of free parking, excellent local transport links, nearby inexpensive hotel accommodation and a friendly atmosphere.
