A SPATE of BMX thefts has led police to urge residents to be more vigilant.
Four children’s bikes have been stolen from gardens in Victoria Street, Windsor Avenue, Regent Street and Alexander Road, in Longridge in the past month.
Thieves took a grey and white ‘Urban’ camouflage BMX bike with stunt pegs, a metallic green BMX with a red ripped seat and stunt pegs and a silver BMX Hurricane bicycle.
A fourth bike has now been recovered and returned to its owner.
Officers have visited Longridge High School to speak to pupils about the importance of keeping their bikes secure. Contact police on 0845 1 25 35 45.
