MUSEUM bosses in Burnley and Rossendale are hoping to drive up interest with a classic vehicle procession.
More than four dozen vintage, veteran and classic vehicles will be visiting Queen Street Mill Textile Museum on Sunday, September 10, as part of the procession which is run to celebrate the National Heritage Open Weekend.
It is expected to travel from Turton Tower in Darwen to Rossendale Museum and then towards Burnley, calling in at the Weavers Triangle, Queen Street Mill Textile Museum and Towneley Hall.
Entries are now being sought after, for cars or motorcycles, commercial, PSV or military, so long as they were manufactured before 1975.
Catherine Pearson, the organiser of the event said: "The aim of the Cavalcade is to promote the local museums to people who may otherwise not have visited.
"It also offers a wonderful day out for the vehicle owners, who receive a sense of satisfaction from showing off their pride and joy to the admiring spectators at each venue.
"The vehicles should be in a clean and roadworthy condition, but do not have to be concourse standard, as it is not a competition."
If you are interested in joining the cavalcade, then telephone 01282 412555 for a booking form, or contact Queen Street Mill Museum for more information on 01282 412555.
