A TODMORDEN councillor has retained the leadership of Calderdale council after the borough’s elections.
Coun Janet Battye, who represents the town’s Calder ward, continues to head up the Liberal Democrat and Labour alliance.
Her colleague Coun Ruth Goldthorpe, the Lib Dem for neighbouring Todmorden ward, will chair the adult health and social care scrutiny panel.
Coun Nader Fekri, who also represents Calder ward for the same party, is this year’s borough mayor.
