A BLACKBURN man has been made subject to a borough-wide alcohol ban as part of an interim anti-social behaviour order.

Blackburn magistrates heard that the order against Colin Michael Hamer, 43, was required because of his history of causing drunken nuisance.

And as part of the order he was banned from all parts of the Shadsworth estate where he lives except for a route which takes him to his home.

Hamer, of Rothesay Road, was not present in court when the interim order was imposed. The full hearing will be on October 17.

Under the terms of the interim order Hamer is prohibited from using threatening behaviour, possession of any unsealed container of alcohol anywhere in the borough of Blackburn with Darwen, being drunk in the borough or going anywhere on the Shadsworth estate except Rothesay Road as far as his home.
