TWO East Lancashire stunners are hoping to become cover girls after being shortlisted in a search for the UK's hottest girl next door.

And the girls are appealing to Lancashire Telegraph readers to vote for them and keep their modelling dreams alive.

Chantelle Kenyon, 20, of Lilac Road, Blackburn, and 18-year-old Joanna Bower, of Windermere Drive, Rishton, attended auditions in Manchester and were chosen from over 8,000 entries to make the top 100.

The next stage in the competition will see a top 10 chosen and the winner will be featured on FHM's front cover and receive £10,000.

Chantelle, a part-time hostess for Blackburn Rovers, said: "I just love being in the limelight and everything about it.

"Winning the competition would mean the world to me, like winning the lottery. I'd love to be as successful as Jordan."

And although her job would involve stripping off for the camera, Chantelle says she has the support of her family and labourer boyfriend, Martin Graham, 27.

"I am determined to become a model. For the last two years I have been building up a portfolio and would like to do lingerie modelling," she said.

And Joanna, who is taking an English degree at the University of Central Lancashire, said: "I just sent my pictures in and it has gone from there. I would love to be a glamour model and love to do Page 3. I love being in front of a camera, it's just a great buzz."

FHM editor Ross Brown said: "FHM's High Street Honeys campaign is our way to celebrate the beautiful girls on our own doorstep."
