A MAN has admitted killing a Blackburn College caretaker.
But Glen Mould, 36, of Delph Close, Blackburn, will still face trial in July for 31-year-old Dominic Bibby’s murder after prosecutors rejected his plea.
Mould denies murdering Mr Bibby between December 17 and 20 last year.
Mr Bibby was found dead at the terrace home he had previously shared with his brother Jonathan in Delph Close.
At Preston Crown Court yesterday, co-defendent Terrence Swallow, 37, of Walton Street, Altham, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice, between December 17 and December 28, by assisting in the disposal of evidence.
Both men were remanded into custody by Judge Anthony Russell QC.
Mr Bibby was employed by Lancashire County Council which provided contracted cleaners and caretakers to the college.
He shared the job with his brother.
His body was discovered by police after an anonymous tip-off, made by phone from a public phone box.
Detectives said he had ‘visible injuries consistent with the use of a blunt instrument’ to his head and body.
They said he had been ‘subject to a sustained and vicious attack’.
