CORONATION Street star Sam Aston has said he is nothing like his character and will not be rushing into having a baby in real life.
Sam, 17, from Bacup who plays Chesney Brown has spoken about his controversial new storyline which will see him become a dad with his schoolgirl lover Katy.
The youngest of nine children, Sam said: “I'd be really shocked if I found myself in Chesney's shoes.
“I'm an uncle to seven nieces and nephews but I couldn't handle the responsibility of parenthood.
“Chesney's normally a sensible lad and I'm sure he’ll try his best to be a good dad but they could struggle once the baby is born and reality kicks in.
“Even in 10 years time I can't see myself married with children. I'm taking everything slowly, one step at a time.
“I'm quite happy spending time with my mates, walking my dog Buddy, playing golf and going to the gym.”
