Worsthorne parish council has been informed that the Mayor's Charity Fund is raising money to buy two transnasal oesophagoscopes.
It which will be used for the detection and biopsy of early cancer of the upper airways and digestive tract.
Once purchased they will be used at the New St Peter's Centre and the ENT Unit at Burnley General Hospital.
Residents are invited to help raise money for this essential equipment by supporting the many fund raising activities that will be taking place throughout the next nine months.
