RIBBLE Film Club kicks off its new season on Sunday at 7.30pm at the St Mary's Centre, Parish Hall, Church Street, Clitheroe.

The first film is Dominick Moll's Lemming and leaflets describing the next 12 films are available from Ribble Valley Council, the New Inn, parish hall, library and Clitheroe information office.

Doors will open at 6pm and club chairman Bruce Dowles said: "We are combining efforts with the cinema to actively engage with the wider cinema public to spread the word of what we and the cinema have to offer.

"At the same time we are doing everything possible to make the cinema a more rewarding experience."

"With our new website ribblefilmclub.co.uk up and running we intend to be as informative as we possibly can to members and non members alike and to provide something for everyone while tackling the cutting edge of cinema with that little bit extra whenever we can."
