STAR Wars fans travelled from far, far away – and some quite close by – to meet their movie heroes at Turf Moor yesterday.
Hundreds of families from across the country were able to see famous characters such as Chewbacca at the Star Wars Family Fun Day, organised by enthusiast Neil Livesey.
Actors including Chris Parson, Chris Muncke and Peter Roy, who played C-3PO’s body double, Captain Khurgee, and Olander Brit respectively in the films, joined in the fun at the event in the James Hargreaves Suite, and signed autographs.
There was also face painting for children and stalls to buy Star Wars memorabilia.
