Firefighters battled for over two hours to tackle a fire started deliberately at an unused nursing home.
Three crews were called to Abbeydale, in Bamford Crescent, Accrington, at 9.45pm on Saturday after reports that two semi-detached properties were alight.
The blaze damaged nine ground-floor rooms and caused smoke damage to the first floor.
