A 23-YEAR-OLD man repeatedly stole bubbly from a Rishton store over a six-week period.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Gareth Edward Thomas' sold the proceeds of his visits to Whitehead's to fund a drugs lifestyle rather than a champagne one.
Edwards, 23, of Rushton Avenue, Earby, pleaded guilty to two charges of theft and asked for two offences to be taken into consideration.
He was made subject to a community supervision order with a condition that he completes the Think First programme.
Prosecuting, Joanne Close said Thomas said he had been in Whitehead's 12 times in May and June and took champagne every time.
