BLOOD donation sessions are held regularly across East Lancashire.

Anyone aged between 17 and 65, weighing at least 7st 12lbs, and in general good health could potentially start saving lives by becoming a blood donor.

If you have donated before, you can start again up to your 70th birthday, and there is no upper age limit for donors who have donated in the last two years.

You can give blood at the Masonic Hall in Hawkshaw Avenue, Darwen on Tuesday, March 1, at Longridge Civic Hall in Willows Park Lane, Longridge on Monday, March 7 and at Jans Conference Centre in Higher Audley Street, Blackburn or at Poplar Social Club in Wellington Street, Accrington on Thursday, March 10.

Sessions will also be held at the Trinity United Reformed Church and Methodist Church in King Street, Great Harwood on Tuesday, March 15, at Shaw Hill Hotel and Golf Club in Preston Road, Whittle-le-Woods on Tuesday, March 29 and at King Georges Hall, Blackburn, on Wednesday, March 30.
