A CHARITY for the homeless in Burnley is now taking referrals from agencies who feel their clients would benefit from life in the Emmaus Community.
Peter Pike, chairman of Emmaus Burnley, said: “With food and accommodation on offer, as well as meaningful work on the social enterprise, and a weekly allowance, Emmaus can give severely disadvantaged people a new purpose.”
The charity, based at Emmaus House, in Old Hall Street, currently has room for 11 ‘companions’, and will be able to cater for up to 24 by the end of June.
