PADIHAM Road through Sabden will be closed from tomorrow to allow roadworks on Bull Bridge.
Lancashire County Council highways department is to construct a new footway across the bridge.
The work is to restrict the width of the carriageway to a single lane, introduce a priority traffic scheme, and make a footway for pedestrians.
The road will be closed from 9am tomorrow to 6pm on Sunday, February 27, or until work is completed.
Sabden Parish Council has campaigned for the work.
