HEROIN worth £15,000 was seized during a police raid on a suspected drug dealer in Blackburn yesterday.
Officers swooped on an address in Accrington Road at 8.15am and found the drugs, wrapped in plastic bags inside a shoebox, in an upstairs bedroom. They also found cash.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and is being questioned by police.
Detective Inspector Neil Ashton said: “This was part of our ongoing drive against people suspected of dealing drugs in Blackburn.
“This was a large seizure of heroin which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on communities in Blackburn.
"We are committed to taking drugs off our streets and I appeal to anyone with information to come forward.”
