A SCARECROW festival will take place in the East Rural area of Darwen on June 11 and 12 for the second year running.
Last year saw scarecrows popping up all around the Hoddlesden area and proved a hugely popular family day out.
This year the East Rural Network has chosen to support East Lancashire Hospice through a variety of fundraising events including a tombola, cupcake stand and balloon race.
The event will take place at The Carus Centre, Hoddlesden, on Saturday and Brocklehead Farm, Roman Road, Eccleshill on Sunday.
There will be a variety of activities over the two days including a dog show, flower arranging and animal vegetable competitions, along with the scarecrow competition.
* The East Rural Scarecrow Festival takes place on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12.
