A LANCASHIRE shop worker took on Anne Robinson last night and scooped £2,520 on BBC TV’s Weakest Link.

Terry Birnie, 45, said Anne ‘looked daggers at him’ as he swept to victory.

He added: “She’s only a little tiny thing with red hair and dressed in black, but she is a bit daunting.

"I thought she would pick on me for being quite large, but luckily there was someone standing next to me who was even bigger!”

Mr Birnie, lives in Chorley and works at Audiotec, Duckworth Street, Darwen.

He also dedicates hours to hosting shows on Chorley FM.
