A trailer transporting a cow jackknifed on the M6 southbound carriageway this morning causing delays.
Firefighters said three other vehicles were involved in the incident, which happened between junction 30 and 31 near Samlesbury around 10am.
The matrix sign was set to 40mph and congestion backed up to junction 31a at Longridge.
