PENDLE Council has agreed to pay half the cost of resurfacing work on a lane leading to Earby Recreation Ground.
Residents on Hill Top Lane have been in discussion with the council on how to pay for the £5,574 project for some time.
As part of the lane is privately-owned, residents had been asked to pay 10 per cent towards the resurfacing costs.
After a meeting, residents suggested they would be willing to pay five per cent, and Pendle Council’s West Craven Area Committee asked the Executive if the council would fund the rest, which was agreed.
