A COUNTRY lane near Pickup Bank, Darwen, was closed after fly-tippers dumped a van-load of household waste.
Police sealed off the road, off Long Hey Lane, because of the obstruction on Saturday.
Items left include a bathroom suite, tyres and building materials.
East Rural Councillor Julie Slater said: “We have a lot of problems with fly-tipping in this area and in the past have even had dead livestock dumped.
“People need to take it to the tip.
"This is where people live and it’s not fair. Livestock can also be put at risk.”
