COLNE Health Centre patients are reminded that they now have the option to see their GP in Sainsbury’s.
People registered with Richmond Court Group Practice and Hill Top Surgery can visit a consulting room in the supermarket with extended opening hours.
Run with the support of NHS East Lancashire, the surgery is open on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6.30 to 7.30 and on Friday afternoons from 2.30 to 5.30.
Bernie Underwood, practice manager for the GP surgery, said: “Our patients who have seen our GPs in Sainsbury’s are happy with the arrangement.
“For some it is more convenient, popping in on their way home.
“Appointments are still booked through our main surgery, so any patient wishing to make an appointment still needs to ring us on the main telephone number.”
