BARCLAYS has told businesses in Blackburn and Burnley that it is ready to lend.
The bank said it is ‘increasing its corporate presence’ in the towns, reflecting confidence in the area.
It means new specialists will be on hand for firms hoping to get finance.
Corporate director John Stanworth said: “Our move into Burnley and Blackburn reflects our confidence in the business opportunities within this part of the county and our desire to support a more specialized approach to the market by continuing to segment ourselves along industry sectors.
“We aim to be the first choice corporate banking provider in Lancashire.”
