THE Radical Wrestling League put on a show to remember for the locals at Hollins Grove Conservative Club.
The RWL, which includes fighters from East Lancashire and the North West, took centre stage at the Darwen venue where they held a series of bouts.
Organiser James McPhail, from Darwen who organised the event, said: “We travel around the country taking part in and staging amateur wrestling events.
“A lot of hard work goes in to the shows as we have to work on our stage theatrics and character work.
“It can be very much like the old Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks stuff.
“Lots of heroes and villians but everyone seems to like it.”
The Radical Wrestling League currently train in Darwen and for more information about the group contact James McPhail on 07817 163089.
