A BLACKBURN College electrical engineering student is one step closer to landing his dream job as an aerospace engineer after receiving a prestigious award.
King-Cheung Lau, studied the National Diploma Electrical/Electronic Engineering course at the college and received the subject’s Honorary Shield for his dedicated approach and consistently excellent grades.
King, a former Darwen Vale pupil, is currently studying a degree in Avionic Systems at Liverpool University.
His dream job would be to work as an aerospace engineer for BAE.
The 20-year-old student said: “I’m over the moon with my award – in fact I’m still a little bit in shock.
"I worked really hard over the two years and really appreciate that the college recognised this.
“I found out about the course during an open evening and instantly knew it was the perfect course for me.
"I’ve always wanted to be an engineer especially in avionics.”
