SEVERAL key shops in Colne are set to benefit from a makeover thanks to an improvement grants scheme.
Revamps costing £3,000 each are scheduled for A White Room, Albert Road, nearby Textstyles and Mulligan & Sons, and Fox Cycles in Dockray Street, under the borough council initiative.
Work has recently been completed on Scarlet Ribbons, also in Dockray Street, and Menzone barbers.
But further bids for the Curry Cottage and North’s Cleaners, in Market Street, and former Shackleton Hall tenants, costing £10,000, must wait for new funding to become available.
