RESIDENTS came out in force to take part in Darwen Leisure Centre’s first birthday celebrations.
The £12million building in Green Street was a hive of activity on Saturday afternoon with numerous activities taking place across the centre for individuals and families in the area.
Fitness-conscious residents had the chance to try their hand at zumba dance classes, splash aerobics, badminton, seated exercise and much more.
Family games such as curling, bowling and drumba also proved popular in the main hall.
