THREE people have been charged over the stabbing of a 27-year-old found dumped in an alleyway.
Margaret Gilheaney, 35, of Elizabeth Street, Accrington, Martin Maughan, 18, of Edleston Street, Accrington, and a 17-year-old girl from Accrington, have been charged with wounding with intent.
They appeared before Blackburn magistrates on Saturday morning. All three were remanded in custody.
They were arrested on Thursday night at a house in Haslingden after police found 27-year-old Matthew Howard semi-conscious in a pool of blood earlier in the day.
He had been stabbed 11 times and left in a ginnell behind Elizabeth Street, police said.
He was taken to hospital and needed life-saving surgery on Thursday night.
