FLOOD water caused a two-car collision on the Padiham bypass on Friday morning.
A Vauxhall Astra and a Mazda 2 crashed head on after one of the cars aquaplaned on water running off a nearby field, close to the Higham end of Barrowford, at 8.10am.
The driver of each car – a man and a woman in their 40s – were helped at the scene by emergency services.
The woman suffered minor arm injuries.
The accident caused major tailbacks during rush hour.
