Surge in Rossendale rock salt sales
A VALLEY firm has seen its sales of rock salt surge in the recent bad weather.
Rossendale Rock Salt has sold 14,000 bags of grit since the first heavy snowfall in September, equivalent to 13 lorry loads.
The firm, based in Bury Road, Rawtenstall, is part of the EJ Stansfield group which gave away 100 free tubs of rock salt to vulnerable Valley people in the run-up to Christmas.
