A DARWEN pub is set to reopen after being sold for £185,000.
The three-storey Bowling Green pub, Bolton Road, which has a games room, bar and eight bedrooms over two floors, has been closed for three months.
Manchester-based agents Christie and Co have now sold it to Darwen entrepreneur Austin Molloy, who will have son Michael as landlord.
Keith Stringer of Christie and Co said: “It was reassuring that a non-trading pub will re-open under private ownership to serve the local community.”
