AN 11-car smash has closed two lanes of the M6 this morning.
Police said there have been several other accidents behind the incident between junction 30 for the M61 and junction 31 at Samlesbury.
High winds and heavy rain have caused dangerous conditions on the roads this morning.
Police said the accident happened on the southbound carriageway at around 7.45am. Lanes three and four of the motorway were closed.
There is also said to be queues on the northbound side as a result of the accident.
No-one is thought to be seriously injured.
