A GOVERNMENT minister has pledged to visit Hyndburn to meet bosses of a local technology company.
Ed Vaizey has accepted an invitation to visit Church from Graham Jones MP.
Mr Vaizey, who reports to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, said he was delighted to be asked to visit Reach Global Group, a technology firm in Church.
Mr Jones used Reach Global, which owns the search engine Searchers and the online property portal NetMovers, as an example of a ‘cutting edge’ British company.
Reach Global and Searchers director Israr Sarwar said: “It’s fantastic news, absolutely excellent.
We’ve been trying to establish contact with the new digital minister for some time. Now thanks to Mr Jones, Mr Vaizey will visit our technology centre.”
