EAGLE-eyed walkers in Witton Park, Blackburn, spotted a Harris Hawk in the tree tops earlier this week.
Alarmed to see the bird of prey, which swoops to catch prey, they told staff at the visitor’s centre, who contacted the Independent Bird Registry.
Tommy Johnson of the organisation lured the bird from the trees with bait.
He believes it had escaped from a local owner.
