BOSSES at a Burnley firm are aiming to forge a long-term partnership with their new neighbour – one of the town’s ‘super schools’.
The new Hameldon Community College site in Coal Clough Lane was unveiled in September last year. It is just 500 yards down the road from VEKA, a manufacturer of extruded PVC-U products.
David Jones, managing director of the firm, has now met with the school’s head Gill Broom, right, to discuss ways of working together in future.
VEKA has already taken part in careers events and industry days, has signed up for mock interview days and will mentor students in the production of their next newsletters.
