MEET Lily-Anne Proctor, the two-year-old street dancer.

Lily-Anne took second place in the under six category at the Yorkshire Street Dance Championships even though she was the youngest to compete.

Lily-Anne is the daughter of Mellor Brook dance teacher Cheryl Watkinson, and fellow students of Cheryl Dance Studios also picked up trophies at the Bradford event.

Cheryl said: “She was the youngest child on the day in spite of participants coming from all corners of the country.

“She really impressed with her street moves and splits. She was loving every minute.”

Other Cheryl Dance School students to bag trophies included Robyn Birnie who came fourth in the under-six category, Harriette Hill who came third in the under-10s and Maddie Elliott who came second in the under-10s.

Two of the school’s dance teams were also recognised.

Red Alert were second in the under-10s, Outta Kontrol seventh in the under-14s, and Swagger third in over-18s.

Cheryl added: “Charlotte Read who teaches our street dancing at the studio agreed with me that all the children did amazingly well.”
