EAST Lancashire is on flood alert after a deluge of rain over the past few days.
Trains between Clitheroe and Blackburn have been cancelled this afternoon due to flooding on the line at Whalley with replacement buses transporting passengers instead.
Meanwhile the Environment Agency has put Flood Watch warnings in place on the rivers Ribble, Hodder, Calder and Irwell.
Huncoat weather expert Roy Chetham said over 1cm rain had fallen on East Lancashire today, to add to 1.13cm yesterday and 2.82cm on Tuesday.
But he said: "This is quite normal for November. It's a wet month anyway.
"The outlook will continue to be unsettled with quite heavy rain but tomorrow should be better.
"It's going to be showery but, if we're lucky, it will clear up and should be a dry night."
