A YOUNG mum has made a heartfelt appeal for burglars to return ‘irreplaceable’ family photographs stolen from her home.
Police said a Sony PlayStation 3, with two controllers and four games, a Packard Bell laptop, Apple iPod and men’s Stone Island Jacket, valued at a total of £1,600, were stolen from a house in Paythorne Avenue, on the Brunshaw Estate, Burnley.
Photographs of one of the householder’s family were also taken in the raid between 5pm and 6.15pm on Wednesday September 29.
The 20-year-old mum of one, who asked not to be named, is appealing for the photos to be returned.
She said: “They have taken photographs of me and my daughter, another one of my daughter on her own and one of my mum and dad. That’s the only photograph I have of my dad. We have been estranged for several years, but it still has sentimental value.
“If the photographs turned up on my doorstep in an envelope I wouldn’t ask any questions or even go to the police.
The woman lives in the house with her 21-year-old boyfriend and two-year-old daughter.
The photographs should be returned to Burnley Police Station.
