A GANG of yobs attacked three taxi drivers and a car owner in Blackburn on Saturday.
Police said the youths struck between midnight and 1.30am in Peridot Close and Douglas Place, Brownhill.
Detective Sergeant Adrian McHugh said the group waved down the cabs before punching and kicking the drivers and their vehicles, smashing windows and stealing cash takings.
He said: “They have assaulted the drivers, damaged the vehicles and stolen property.
"They have caused havoc around there.
“The drivers have received cuts and bruises about the head and body.
"To have four vehicles all targeted like that is extremely unusual.”
Four youths were arrested following the attacks and another two were arrested overnight on Sunday.
All six have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
DS McHugh said: “I think it’s a rowdy group of drunk youths who have gone on a spree and sadly these gentlemen have been the victims.”
Witnesses should call police on 01254 51212.
