A MAN threatening to jump from a motorway bridge in Burnley brought traffic to a standstill.

Police said that they were called to the scene at junction 10 of the M65 at 3.35pm and put rolling roadblocks in place on both sides of the carriageway.

The man was talked down from the bridge by 4.05pm officers said.

Police said traffic in the area, ahead of the rush hour had been affected by the incident.
