THE Ramsbottom of 50 years ago has been lovingly recreated by the town’s Model Railway Club.
The club has created a 35ft by 16ft layout and shows how the town looked back in 1960.
It includes the impressive Nuttal Tunnel running into the original Ramsbottom Station.
From there the track crosses Bridge Street, before following the lines onto Stubbins.
A spokesman for the club said: “We currently have eight members in our club which range in age from 16 to 60-plus so there really is no age limit and we are always looking to expand membership.”
The club meets at the old Patmos Hall in Bury New Road on Thursdays between 7.30pm and 11pm.
