A WOODEN sculpture of a primary school’s iconic logo has been damaged after being blown off the building in a storm.
The sculpture, which appears on the Higham St John’s Primary School uniform, is based on the old school bell which sits above the village hall.
It had been in place on the school building for more than 10 years and bears the school motto “One More Step”.
It had been earmarked for renovation in the coming year, but the rot was worse than expected and it gave way during an overnight storm last month.
The school is now hoping to erect a replacement, which pupils will be involved with.
