A DARWEN councillor has hit out at the ‘wazzocks’ he said were vandalising playgrounds in the borough.

There has been a string of incidents in recent months, with bosses facing a mounting bill to repair new play areas built using a multi-million pound government grant.

Liberal Democrat Paul Browne, who represents Sudell ward on Blackburn with Darwen Council and is also mayor of Darwen Town Council, said: “It’s a disgrace, and people should be ashamed.

“We can't carry on funding repairs because these wazzocks are going around vandalising play areas.”
