BLACKBURN with Darwen Council's new leaders have hinted they might scale back the borough's involvement in a partnership of East Lancashire's local authorities.
All the area's town halls have signed up to the Pennine Lancashire project, which involves joint bids for funding based on an agreed set of priorities for East Lancashire.
But new Labour council leader Kate Hollern, who took over last month, suggested a change of emphasis in her first report to the council.
She said: "We will review our role and commitment to the Pennine Lancashire partnership.”
